Nepotism is not just cause of Sushant Singh Rajput 's death

Nepotism comes from Catholic bishops who would bequeath their “nephews” wealth, property, and priesthood. The ‘‘nephews’’ were usually their unlawful offspring, serving as a way for the clergy of churches to both own property and retain power in their families.

Nepotism can bring advantages and inconveniences. Hiring relatives, for example, is easy and can lead to greater confidence (what we call "swift trust") if the relationships get along and share a common purpose. Where nepotism becomes problematic is when there is unfair favoritism among non-relative employees and when relatives are hired over more competent non-relatives. Unfortunately, very little organizational nepotism study has been done.

There is nepotism at Bollywood. It's rampant as it is a lot of other professions and it must be addressed and called. Star-kids have it easy compared to an outsider, but some of Bollywood's biggest stars don't belong to movie families and have worked hard to reach where they are. One such was Sushant Singh Rajput. Rajput had not only carved a niche for himself in the industry in seven years, but was also one of the few who worked his way up, witnessed the success of his films in the box office, and earned critical praise for many of his performances. He was a man of his own making and a good actor.

If nepotism has been encouraged by the film industry, the audience has also helped make many of these star-kids into superstars with limited talents. The way we perceive Bollywood and measure success is an inherent problem, why just blame it on the film industry.

It is also true that nobody, no production house; no company is ever-rising so high in the film industry that they need to outsource business management. The recent trend of corporate houses joining the film industry was not very successful because of the power of the management wizards. It's a one-man show, always.

Favoring each other is human nature which has its reason. Since birth, favoritism has been a way of life in the family, with parents, with kin and at school, as well as at the workplace. No one ends life because in another kin a mother or father finds a favorite and the same go for a school teacher or the boss at work.

We do not know what led to the death of Rajput, or why he suffered from depression. Sushant was a good student, and he studied engineering at the prestigious Delhi College Engineering. In the third year, he quit his studies to enter the showbiz world, became a star on the small screen when he played the lead in a television show called 'Pavitra Rishta' and made heads turn with his debut film 'Kai Po Che' released in 2013. Sushant has been a part of several major movies since then.

So we can't say that just Sushant Singh Rajput was killed by nepotism.
